Meow

This book is a cute read about a cat searching for its friend. There isn't a ton of story here, but that's okay because early readers will be focused on the beautiful art…and finding little glimpses of Ash the black cat in the background of each scene. I also love any book which reinforces the merit of black cats, since they are historically vilified and left in shelters. Overall, I judge a kid's book by whether or not I think my niece would like it. This one is a win!
