Self-Publishing the Troubador Way

From contract signing to post-publication, authors are our priority. Here is how we work with them throughout their publishing journey.

How We Work With Authors

Project management

From your initial no-obligation consultation through to the publication of your book, our team will work clearly with you to ensure your publishing experience is the best it can be.

Giving authors control

While we possess self-publishing expertise honed over more than 30 years of self-publishing books, authors retain full control over every element of their book’s publication.

Clear communication

No matter what stage of the publishing process you are at, our team will be in contact over the phone, email and in-person to ensure you are always aware of the situation.

The Troubador Hub

The Troubador Hub

The Troubador Hub is a custom-built system we created from scratch with our authors’ experience in mind. All Troubador authors get access to the hub free of charge and can enjoy its benefits for as long as they are working with us.

Our authors receive periodic access to exclusive offers from us. From discounts in our online bookshop to money off our supplementary services, there are offers for every author.

Prioritising the Author Experience

While we are a publishing company that creates hundreds of quality books every year, we prioritise the author experience above all else. Every member of the team wants our authors to leave the publishing process having enjoyed it thoroughly.

We love working with authors

Our team loves connecting with and talking directly to our authors, ensuring that authors feel listened to and in control of their projects.

Transparent royalty process

Our quarterly royalty process is transparent and straightforward, with authors able to access the latest sales information for their books directly through the Troubador Hub.

Author bookshop profiles

All authors that have their books available in our bookshop, will have a full customisable author profile featuring all their books that they can use as their mini-website.

Rights retention

Authors who publish with Troubador keep 100% of the rights to their work. Once the initial 2-year contract is up, authors can choose whether they would like to renew with Troubador or not.
