Troubador Publishing

The Self Publishing Conference (https://selfpublishingconference.org.uk) was founded in 2013 by Troubador Publishing with the aim of making information about all aspects of self-publishing available to indie authors. The conference was also designed to continue Troubador’s mission to educate writers about publishing, enabling them to make informed decisions about self-publishing their books. Since its inception, the Self Publishing Conference has welcomed hundreds of delegates and run workshops and sessions on all topics surrounding writing and publishing, but with an indie author slant. It is now the most established conference dedicated to self-publishing in the UK. Our keynote speakers over the years have included Alysoun Owen (Editor, Writers’ & Artists’ Yearbook, https://www.writersandartists.co.uk), Bridget Shine (Chief Executive, The Independent Publishers’ Guild, https://www.independentpublishersguild.com/), Orna Ross (Alliance of Independent Authors, https://www.allianceindependentauthors.org, The Society of Authors and the Writers’ Guild of Great Britain). After a break due to the pandemic, the conference returned in 2022, with bestselling writer Sophie Hannah (https://dreamauthorcoaching.com) who inspired delegates with her talk at a conference packed full of empowering sessions and networking opportunities that left authors buzzing. Today we are pleased to confirm that the speakers and sessions for the 2023 Self Publishing Conference are confirmed, with the conference taking place on the 22nd April 2023. Our early bird ticket offer is now available – offering a great saving on the ticket price. The early bird ticket is only available until the 12th January 2023, and gives a 16% saving off the regular delegate price For 2023 The Self-Publishing Conference theme is ‘self-publishing – beyond the book’, and the seminars are structured around maximising your self-publishing success, including sessions on increasing income from your book and selling books to bookshops. In total, the conference will offer delegates a choice of over 11 seminars on all aspects of self-publishing, a keynote session and the special Q+A session with bestselling Amazon author, Nicola May
